I Present To You: *The* H&M Dress

Before I get on with posting pictures, I need to send out a huge "Thank You" to the ever-stylish Kim of Anthroholic fame, who actually took the time out of her crazy-busy life to email me about what size I needed in this beautiful dress, go to the H&M store and buy it for me, and then ship it to me via UPS so I got it in record time- a freakin' day and a half, people! Kim, you rock my flippin' face off. Hope you're having a fabulous time in Cali!

Now, on to the dress:

For Day
H&M dress.
Seychelles Rita Heels.
J.Crew Dream Brass Button Cardigan.
Pearl necklace worn as bracelet.

For Night
H&M dress.
Urban Outfitters sheer tights.
Aldo Equia Heels.
Boutique chandelier earrings.
Mommy's-tired messy bun.

God, I have got to stop waiting until after dinnertime to take pictures!
Even my daytime outfit didn't get photographed until well after 5pm today, after which point I changed into the second, more evening-appropriate outfit. When I first saw this dress in person, I panicked and thought I wouldn't know how to wear it, but once on, it looked accommodatingly neutral, while still not blending into my tan skin, and I was happy to note that I could actually throw on just about anything on top of it and still come out with a pretty decent outfit (I hope...?) Love the accordion pleats, the pleated hem and neckline detailing, and the blousy shape up top. My favorite part, however, are the artful sleeves that drape over the shoulders in the most flattering manner. I'm so glad I decided to follow my instinct and get my grubby li'l paws on this one while I still could!

Umm, you look fabulous!! I love this dress and have been on the lookout but no H&M near me. What's a girl to do??? Btw, what size did you get the dress in, because I'm not sure which size would work best for me!

Hot DAMN. You look flipping fantastic Tara!! Seriously, just stunning. And I especially love the "day time" version of the dress you did, with the yellow cardi matching with your nude and yellow shoes. I have been debating returning the Ringsends in vachetta, but now I know I have to keep them, if only so I can wear them with a yellow cardigan and the Drifting By Dress to emulate you :)

Thank you, thank you! Y'all are far too kind! Hailey: my advice is to just try it on, sometimes trying stuff on makes me change my mind about colors I never thought would look good on my complexion.
Dea: I got a 2, the smallest they have, and the waistband, which is non-elastic, fits very snugly around my 24" waist.
Anjali: Keep'em, keep'em! They're by far the most versatile shoes I've bought in a while, they can act as neutrals or brights depending on what you wear them with :)
PS: Vachetta- so that's what "vac" is short for- God, that's been killing me all this while! Vac...vac...vacuum? Vacation? Vacancy? No of course not, it's vachetta! Hooray!

Aww, it is so so pretty! I think I will end up getting either this or the Drifting by dress after my ban is up! So pretty.

This dress looks great on you! I was on the lookout for it, too, but couldn't find one. : (

Anyway, I'm not really supposed to be spending money, so it's really all for the better.

This color really works for you!

this dress is beautiful! I posted Alexis Bledel wearing this dress about a month ago! I seriously wish I had an H&M here, unfortunately we're not stylish enough. It looks darling on you, especially with the yellow cardi! :)

Hooray for Kim on helping you find this dress! It is BEAUTIFUL - I love the color and the sleeves and the accordion pleats! The ywllow of the cardigan you wore with it perfectly match the yellow on the shoes, too. I like! I really wish there was an H&M down here in Texas. Sigh.
